Deep in colour, complex and balanced. The plum, dark chocolate and spice will leave you wanting more……
Very deep colour – bright and fresh but with a nice degree of maturity showing. Looks great in the glass.
Refined nose with great balance of fruit and oak – really well integrated. Still slightly closed but shows very attractive (and typically KI) plummy flavours with supporting spice from the oak.
The wine has a full ripe palate with flavours of plums and moccha/dark chocolate and spice (cinnamon?) from the oak. As the nose would suggest, these flavours are well-integrated and complex, even at this young age. It’s slightly lean soon after bottling , but will soon settle down and round out to show richness and length.
It will age very nicely, improving for at least 5 years, and it will live on for years after that.
